Mike Malott and Gilbert Burns will headline UFC Winnipeg on Saturday, April 18 at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Malott is described as the third Canadian ever to headline a UFC event in Canada, alongside Georges St-Pierre and Rory MacDonald. Burns enters the main event on a four-fight losing streak and is described as being in the worst slump of his career and nearing 40 years old.

The main card features a bantamweight bout between Kyler Phillips and Charles Jourdain, with Jourdain noted for recent bantamweight finishes over Davey Grant and Victor Henry. Former Bellator fighter Mandel Nallo, 36, makes his UFC debut against Jai Herbert in a lightweight bout, while Jasmine Jasudavicius meets Karine Silva in a flyweight matchup. Thiago Moises faces Gauge Young in another lightweight contest.

The early preliminary card produced several results, including wins for Marcio Barbosa over Dennis Buzukja, Julien Leblanc over Robert Valentin, Tanner Boser over Gokhan Saricam, Melissa Croden over Daria Zhelezniakova, JJ Aldrich over Jamey-Lyn Horth, Mark Vologdin over John Castaneda, and Jamie Siraj over John Yannis.

UFC Winnipeg’s early prelims feature seven fights starting at 5 p.m. ET, followed by a five-fight main card beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The entire event streams live on Paramount+.
