Michael Page is heading back to middleweight to take on Nursulton Ruziboev in a key matchup at UFC Fight Night 287.
The bout is set for Sept. 5 at Accor Arena in Paris, France, where Page will return to 185 pounds after his recent run at welterweight. The fight will take place under the UFC banner at the upcoming Fight Night event.
Page enters the contest on a three-fight win streak, with victories over Shara Magomedov, Jared Cannonier, and most recently Sam Patterson. His latest outing was a decision win over Patterson in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 270 in March. Page holds a 25-3 MMA record and is 4-1 in the UFC.
Ruziboev brings a 37-9-2 MMA record and a 5-1 UFC mark into the matchup. He is coming off a first-round submission win over Andrey Pulyaev at UFC Fight Night 280 in June. After a welterweight loss to Joaquin Buckley in May 2014, Ruziboev returned to middleweight and has since put together three straight wins.
The clash in Paris will see both men riding momentum into a pivotal middleweight showdown at UFC Fight Night 287.
