Merab Dvalishvili delivered a dramatic comeback win over Henry Cejudo in the RAF Georgia main event, rallying late to secure an 11-8 victory.
Dvalishvili fell behind 8-0 early after Cejudo scored a takedown and multiple turns, but he surged back on the scoreboard and sealed the win as the final horn sounded. The bout marked only Dvalishvili’s second freestyle match since joining the RAF roster.
“I’m so happy,” Dvalishvili said after the match. “I make my people proud. Thank god I win tonight … Henry’s an Olympic champion. I think next match I can do with him in judo.”
Dvalishvili already holds a previous win over Cejudo in the UFC and is described as a former UFC champion, while Cejudo is described as an Olympic champion. Looking ahead, Dvalishvili made it clear his focus remains on the cage.
“Next, you won’t be surprised, I love UFC, I love fighting. Petr Yan, come back bro. What the heck? There’s something wrong with him.”
Dvalishvili is waiting for UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan to get healthy so they can book a trilogy fight before the end of 2026.
