10-04-26

Max Griffin is set to welcome Victor Valenzuela to the octagon in a welterweight bout at UFC Vegas 116 on April 25 at the META Apex in Las Vegas.

Griffin enters the matchup on a two-fight losing streak, with recent setbacks against Michael Chiesa and Chris Curtis. His most recent UFC victory came by split decision over Jeremiah Wells at UFC Vegas 86 in February 2024.

Valenzuela makes his UFC debut on the back of a second-round stoppage win at Lemino Shooto 4 in Japan in March. He has won seven of his past eight fights, with his only recent defeat a knockout loss to Michael Oliveira on Dana White’s Contender Series in October.

The newcomer brings experience as a former Fury FC interim welterweight titleholder and has also competed for LFA and Combate Global.

UFC Vegas 116 is headlined by a featherweight bout between Aljamain Sterling and Youssef Zalal.
