Manel Kape delivered a knockout win over Kyoji Horiguchi in the main event of UFC Fight Night 279 on Saturday at the Meta APEX.
The flyweight bout topped the card, with Kape closing the show by stopping Horiguchi and further solidifying his position near the top of the division. The victory comes with Kape already ranked No. 3 at flyweight, behind Alexandre Pantoja at No. 2 and champion Joshua Van at No. 1.
Earlier on the card, Luana Santos scored a significant win of her own on the prelims, defeating Karlo Rosa in a women’s bantamweight bout. The result propelled Santos up the women’s bantamweight rankings, jumping from No. 15 to No. 7.
