Mackenzie Dern will put her strawweight title on the line against Gillian Robertson in the co-main event of UFC 330 on Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
The promotion announced the championship bout on Wednesday, confirming Dern’s next defense after a three-fight winning streak that includes non-title victories over Loopy Godinez and Amanda Ribas, as well as her win over Virna Jandiroba for the then-vacant belt in October.
Robertson arrives at her first UFC title shot riding a five-fight winning streak, with victories over Polyana Viana, Michelle Waterson-Gomez, Luana Pinheiro, Marina Rodriguez, and Amanda Lemos. The submission specialist is trained by Din Thomas.
Dern had previously been rumored to defend her title against former champion Zhang Weili at UFC Freedom 250, but the challenger was not ready, clearing the way for Robertson to step into the UFC 330 spotlight.
