Luke Riley Fires Back at Critics of UFC 329 TKO Stoppage
14-07-26

Luke Riley isn’t entertaining any talk of an early stoppage after his first-round TKO win over Kai Kamaka III at UFC 329.

Riley stopped Kamaka at 3:03 of the opening round in their prelim bout at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with referee Kerry Hatley stepping in to wave off the fight.

In the aftermath, Riley pushed back on criticism of the finish. "They've f*cking lost their minds," Riley said of those calling the stoppage premature.

He doubled down on his stance, adding: "Two more seconds, he would've been face down on the canvas, honestly. That baffles me. I don't even know what to say to that. If you think that was an early stoppage, I feel like you shouldn't be watching fighting. But it is what it is."

With the victory, Riley moved to 14-0 in MMA and 3-0 in the UFC, while Kamaka dropped to 18-8-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the promotion.
