Lorenz Larkin is out of his upcoming bout against Jason Jackson at MVP MMA 1 after suffering a knee injury.
Most Valuable Promotions’ debut MMA event is scheduled for May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., and is headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. It is unclear if the promotion will seek a new opponent for Jackson.
Larkin revealed the news on Instagram Stories, telling fans, "I'm sorry to all the fans but I had to pull out of the Netflix card due to knee injury," and adding, "Will be rehabing it back to 100% and will be back."
Larkin previously competed under the Karate Combat banner in December, losing in the first round to Vanilto Antunes and snapping a three-fight streak across MMA and karate. Jackson’s most recent outing was a PFL headliner against Thad Jean last June, which went the distance and resulted in a controversial split decision.
