Loopy Godinez has her sights set on revenge and a return to the Noche UFC spotlight, calling for a rematch with Virna Jandiroba at this year’s event on Sept. 12 in Glendale, Ariz.
Godinez dropped a unanimous decision to Jandiroba in 2024, a loss that halted a four-fight winning streak, and has never had a career rematch. Both fighters have been inactive since April, when Godinez was submitted by Tatiana Suarez at UFC 327, snapping a two-fight run of victories.
"I would personally love to have a rematch against Jandiroba," Godinez said, adding, "I think all the top contenders are already booked, so I would like to get a rematch against Jandiroba."
The strawweight contender is also targeting a specific stage for the do-over. "I would love to fight at Noche," Godinez said. "The timing would be perfect. Fighting at Noche is incredible. I fought in the one the year before The Sphere, and to be honest, it was incredible. I loved the energy, and I honestly felt like I was in Mexico. The UFC did a great job with it."
