28-06-26

Liz Carmouche added another finish to her resume at PFL San Diego, submitting Viviane Araujo in the co-main event at Pechanga San Diego.

Carmouche locked up a guillotine choke and forced the tap at 2:07 of Round 2 in their flyweight bout, pushing her professional record to 26-8 and extending her winning streak to four.

One description of the finish summed it up simply as Carmouche “jumped the gilly.”

With the loss, Araujo dropped to 14-8 overall and 1-1 in PFL.

Carmouche, the first woman ever to compete in a UFC cage, is now 13-1 in Bellator/PFL since her UFC release, a run that includes a 2025 PFL World Tournament victory.

After the win, Carmouche called for the addition of a PFL women’s bantamweight division.
