Lucas Fernando is heading to the UFC, with the reigning LFA light heavyweight champion set to make his octagon debut against Rafael Tobias at UFC 330.
The matchup is booked for Aug. 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, where Fernando will step in as the current LFA 205-pound titleholder and a former middleweight champion. UFC 330 will also feature title defenses by Islam Makhachev at welterweight against Ian Machado Garry and Mackenzie Dern at strawweight against Gillian Robertson.
Fernando enters the promotion on a four-fight winning streak that includes back-to-back first-round knockouts in recent title bouts. He previously appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series, where he lost to Cesar Almeida.
Tobias, meanwhile, secured his UFC contract after submitting Jair de Oliveira on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2025. He dropped his promotional debut by decision to Diyar Nurgozhay in March.
