King Green Targets Wild Standup War With Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328
07-05-26

King Green is promising chaos when he meets Jeremy Stephens in the UFC 328 main card opener at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Green is scheduled to face fellow lightweight veteran Stephens in a bout between two 39-year-old fighters known for knockout wins and bonuses, with Green described as a sizable favorite.

"I'm becoming more psycho because I'm realizing it now," Green said while looking ahead to the matchup. He added, "I want to tell Jeremy, I just want to find out who's more psycho because I believe he is, too. He has a little bit of that in him, too, and I can see it. The things he's done, I'm like, 'Oh, interesting.'"

Green laid out exactly the kind of fight he wants with Stephens: "Let's find out who's more psycho, because I'm going to go stand in front of you, and look him crazy in his eyes, and let's f*cking go. And just, pow, pow, pow, and he hit me and I hit him. Pow, pow, pow. It's going to go crazy. It's going to be something crazy, and let's find out who's more psycho. I'm willing to do it."

Green enters UFC 328 on back-to-back wins over Lance Gibson Jr. and Daniel Zellhuber at UFC Fight Night 268, holding a 34-17-1 MMA record and a 15-12-1 mark in the UFC. Stephens brings a 29-22 MMA record and a 15-19 UFC slate into the matchup.
