King Green Misses $100K Bonus at UFC 328, Scores Custom Shorts

King Green walked out of UFC 328 without the $100,000 performance bonus many felt he was in line for, but he did secure something he has been chasing for a long time: his own custom UFC shorts.

Green submitted Jeremy Stephens by rear-naked choke in the opening bout of the main card in New Jersey, extending his current win streak to three fights.

Despite the finish, Green did not receive the six-figure bonus. Instead, he left with his win money, a $25,000 finish bonus, and 30% of Stephens' purse after Stephens missed weight by four pounds.

UFC president Dana White confirmed that Green’s persistence on one front has finally paid off. "Well, we we talked about it, [we] looked at the opponents and who they fought," White said, before adding: "But Bobby Green is gonna get his own -- he’s been wanting his own shorts, so he’s getting them. We’re making sure he gets his own shorts."

Green has been vocal about wanting custom stars-and-stripes shorts similar to those worn by Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies and previously missed out on a bonus after knocking out Daniel Zellhuber in February.

On Instagram Stories, Green recently hinted that more news could be coming. "I think I might have a fight soon," he wrote, adding, "I told you I tell no lies."
