King Green Breaks Down McGregor vs. Holloway 2 Ahead of UFC 329

King Green sees Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2 as far closer than the betting lines suggest as the Irish star returns to headline UFC 329 after a long layoff.

McGregor is set to face Holloway in a 170-pound rematch atop UFC 329 on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, returning from a five-year layoff and his July 2021 TKO loss to Dustin Poirier due to a broken leg. Oddsmakers have Holloway as a moderate favorite, but Green isn’t convinced the gap is that wide.

"There's no telling what kind of Conor is going to show up," Green said while assessing the matchup. He later added, "I say 50-50 where he's got that one shot, put you out," and continued, "He's really slick, and when they fought, it was at '45 where he didn't have so much of the pop. So I think this one is going to be different. I'd say 50-50."

Green also raised questions about the tactical approach, particularly leg kicks, saying, "And is Max going to kick his legs or not? Is there a mutual gentleman's agreement of, 'I'm not going to try to f*ck your legs up because I told myself if I fight Conor, I'm not going to kick his legs just out of respect.' I'm willing to make a gentleman's agreement like that. So, those are all things in question. It's at 170 where it favors Conor more in terms of weight and carrying that. I don't know how to call that one."

Before McGregor and Holloway meet, Green will open the UFC 329 main card against Terrance McKinney. Green enters with a 35-17-1 MMA record (16-12-1 UFC), while McKinney is 18-8 in MMA (8-5 UFC). McGregor is 22-6 in MMA (10-4 UFC), and Holloway is 27-9 in MMA (23-9 UFC).
