24-04-26

UFC Middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev is turning up the intensity ahead of his next title defense, dominating top contender Brendan Allen in newly surfaced sparring footage.

Chimaev is set to defend his 185-pound title against Sean Strickland in the UFC 328 main event on Sat., May 9, 2026, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and has been sharpening his tools in Newport Beach, California, at Santo Performance Studio.

Training alongside names like Khalil Rountree, Chimaev can be seen repeatedly taking Allen down, controlling him on the mat, and landing strikes that bloodied the No. 4-ranked middleweight. At one point in the footage, a voice can be heard urging, "Go, go, go."

Allen, who goes by the nickname "All In." and has previously fought Strickland, is currently slated to co-headline UFC Vegas 118 against Edmen Shahbazyan. Chimaev, meanwhile, has become known for putting "bounties," on top fighters who can beat or submit him in the gym, continuing to fuel the aura around "Borz" as UFC 328 approaches.
