Kevin Holland Calls for Rematches After UFC 327 Win Over Randy Brown
14-04-26

Kevin Holland used his UFC 327 victory as a launchpad to call for unfinished business in the welterweight division.

Holland defeated Randy Brown by unanimous decision in a welterweight bout that closed out the prelims at Kaseya Center in Miami, snapping a skid that included back-to-back losses to Daniel Rodriguez and Mike Malott.

Inside the cage, Holland made it clear who he wants next. "I need my rematches. I need D-Rod … and I need Mike Malott," Holland said.

Malott is currently scheduled to headline UFC Fight Night 273 in Winnipeg against Gilbert Burns, and Holland laid out his preferences depending on that result. "If he gets past Gilbert Burns, then I'd like to fight Mike Malott. If he doesn't get past Gilbert Burns, then somebody shoot him in the nuts and give me Gilbert Burns."

Holland emerged from the second season of DWCS in 2018 and won eight of his first nine UFC fights. His UFC run has featured five separate two-fight skids and three separate two-fight winning streaks, along with previous bouts against high-level welterweights such as Khamzat Chimaev, Jack Della Maddalena, and Reinier de Ridder.
