Kevin Borjas Misses Weight, Bout With Andre Lima Set as Catchweight
19-06-26

Kevin Borjas came in heavy at Friday’s UFC Vegas 119 weigh-ins, missing the flyweight limit ahead of his preliminary bout with Andre Lima.

Borjas weighed 129 pounds, three pounds over the non-title flyweight limit for their scheduled 125-pound contest.

Despite the miss, the fight will go forward as a catchweight bout. Borjas is set to forfeit 20 percent of his purse as a penalty for coming in over the contracted limit.

In the UFC Vegas 119 main event, Kyoji Horiguchi hit the scale at 125 pounds, while Manel Kape came in at 126 pounds. Their headlining rematch is now official.

The rest of the card was on point at the scales, with the other 23 fighters scheduled for Saturday all successfully making weight.

Horiguchi and Kape are set to run it back after first meeting at a RIZIN event in December 2017, where Horiguchi won by arm-triangle choke submission in the third round.
