Ketlen Souza needed just 94 seconds to settle an old score, knocking out Ariane Carnelossi with a head kick at UFC Fight Night 278.
The bout opened the prelims at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, where Souza stopped Carnelossi in the first round and avenged a loss from seven years earlier.
"It was a personal fight for me. I lost to her way back at the beginning of my career. I lost on a Saturday. She signed with the UFC on Sunday," Souza said after the win. "I had to go back and restructure myself and improve and show that I could do this, too. It was a very important for me."
Riding back-to-back wins in 2026 after two losses in 2025, Souza also logged her first knockout in five years. She used the moment to call her shot for what she wants next.
"I hope it's Jessica Andrade. I want to fight people that bring out the best in me. That's why I'm asking for that fight," Souza said.
