Kamaru Usman is set to headline UFC Fight Night 281 in a middleweight clash against former UFC champion Dricus Du Plessis at 185 pounds.
The bout comes on the heels of Usman’s return to competition in June 2025, when he fought Joaquin Buckley in the main event of UFC on ESPN 69 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Usman defeated Buckley by unanimous decision in his first fight back after almost two years away.
Before that June 2025 victory, Usman had been inactive for nearly two years and entered the Buckley matchup on a three-fight losing streak.
Now booked in the main event of UFC Fight Night 281, Usman will look to build on his successful return when he meets Du Plessis at middleweight.
