Josh Hokit Stays Undefeated, Beats Blaydes in UFC 327 Thriller
14-04-26

Josh Hokit kept his perfect record intact with a hard-fought victory over longtime heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes in a heavyweight bout at UFC 327 in Miami, a clash that was awarded "Fight of the Night."

The bout left Blaydes with a busted nose and a fractured orbital bone, underscoring the damage both heavyweights absorbed in a contest that stood out on a busy card.

After the fight, Blaydes summed up the war by saying, "Emptied the clip, threw the gun," before adding, "That SoB is tougher to kill than he looks." Hokit responded in kind with, "Right back at you," and Blaydes later asked, "Did we save heavyweight chat?"

Hokit, described as an undefeated heavyweight phenom, now moves directly into another high-profile matchup. He is scheduled to fight 265-pound record holder Derrick Lewis on the upcoming UFC White House fight card, which will also feature Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title.
