Josh Hokit was involved in a heated verbal altercation with Costa in the crowd at UFC 328, capping off a contentious week that began with his removal from a UFC press event.
Hokit was removed from the UFC White House press conference on Friday after an altercation with Ilia Topuria. On Saturday night at UFC 328, Hokit and Costa exchanged words in the crowd before security intervened.
Police officers and security pulled Costa away while Hokit made an obscene gesture and shouted at him. During the confrontation, Hokit yelled, “There’s only one f*cking bad guy” and “Get the f*ck out of here!”
Hokit has become known as a loud presence on the UFC roster. Before his incident with Topuria, he verbally targeted Alex Pereira, who is moving up to heavyweight to fight Ciryl Gane for a third title at the White House. Hokit previously defeated Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 and is booked to fight Derrick Lewis at the UFC White House card in July as he aims to work his way into title contention.
