Josh Hokit Edges Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327, Draws Derrick Lewis Next
12-04-26

Josh Hokit turned his first UFC main card appearance into a breakthrough moment at UFC 327, defeating Curtis Blaydes by unanimous decision and immediately securing a high-profile clash with Derrick Lewis.

All three judges scored the bout 29-28 for Hokit, who not only earned the win over Blaydes but also picked up Fight of the Night honors alongside his opponent, plus an additional Performance of the Night bonus.

During the UFC 327 broadcast, UFC president Dana White revealed that Hokit's next move was already in motion. "Hokit vs. Derrick Lewis was just added to the White House card in the last 10 minutes," White said, later adding, "President Trump built half of that fight, and Rogan built the other half. Both guys have accepted and agreed to the fight. So we’re adding one more to the White House card: Hokit vs. Derrick Lewis. Pretty bad--s how that played out organically during the fight."

Hokit has drawn attention over the past year for his behavior outside the cage, something White addressed when discussing the surging contender. "It’s not my thing. You know, it’s his thing, not my thing. You can do all this type of stuff but what matters is Saturday and the fight, how do you perform on Saturday?" White said, also noting that if people do not like Hokit, they can tune in and hope Derrick Lewis knocks him out on June 14th.

One thing is clear after UFC 327: "The Incredible Hok" is heading straight into another spotlight on the White House card.
