Jose Delano will make his UFC debut against Robert Ruchala on the UFC Fight Night 272 main card at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Delano enters the matchup with a 16-3 MMA record and rides a four-fight winning streak. He earned his UFC contract last August on Dana White's Contender Series by defeating Manuel Exposito via unanimous decision, a run that also includes first-round finishes of Alan Villabla and Abu Muslim Alikhanov under the LFA banner.
Ruchala brings an 11-2 record and is looking for his first UFC victory after dropping his debut by unanimous decision to William Gomis in September. Before signing with the promotion, he captured back-to-back interim featherweight title fights in KSW with stoppage wins over Patryk Kaczmarczyk and Kacper Formela.
MMAJunkie staff picks are split, with five selecting Delano and five siding with Ruchala. Betting odds from FanDuel list Delano as a -355 favorite and Ruchala as a +270 underdog.
Delano vs. Ruchala is scheduled as the main card opener, with walkouts expected at approximately 8:10 p.m. ET. The fight streams live on Paramount+.
