Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier Wrestling Supermatch Talks Heat Up
06-06-26

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are back in negotiations for a potential wrestling supermatch, with ALF Global pushing to bring the longtime rivals together on the mat.

The two are currently coaching opposite each other on ALF Reality, described as Russia’s version of The Ultimate Fighter, and talks are underway for a bout under the Professional Wrestling League banner.

ALF Global CEO Alfredo Auditore outlined the plan, stating, "We’ve made a wrestling match: Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier in our PWL (Professional Wrestling League)," and adding, "It’s almost confirmed from both sides. Let’s do it!" He also described the matchup as "In the works. Negotiating," as efforts continue to finalize the contest.

Despite Auditore’s optimism, there is friction over the rule set. According to the promotion, Daniel Cormier claims Jon Jones is refusing the wrestling offer and instead wants a submission-only grappling match.

Jones and Cormier have previously discussed a potential wrestling match that never materialized, and tensions between them recently flared again when they nearly brawled poolside in March during their involvement with ALF Reality.
