Johnny Walker is set to make his move to heavyweight, with a bout against Ante Delija being targeted for UFC Belgrade on Aug. 1 at Belgrade Arena in Serbia.
Verbal agreements are in place for the matchup, with contracts expected to be signed soon for what is being lined up as a heavyweight clash at the UFC’s event in Belgrade.
Walker is heading to the new division after a split decision loss to Dominick Reyes at UFC 327 in April, and enters the bout with two wins in his past six fights. He has trained with Francis Ngannou.
Delija began his UFC run with a first-round finish of Marcin Tybura at UFC Vegas 110 but has since suffered defeats to Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Serghei Spivac. He is a former PFL heavyweight season champion.
