06-06-26

Joanderson Brito made a statement at UFC Fight Night 278 on Saturday, submitting Jordan Leavitt in a featherweight bout at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Brito secured the win with a ninja choke, forcing the tap with just 41 seconds left in Round 1 to close the show in emphatic fashion.

Leavitt came in with a submission-focused grappling attack, but it was Brito who found the decisive finish on the mat.

Brito entered the fight with a 19-5-1 MMA record and a 7-3 mark in the UFC, while Leavitt came in at 13-4 in MMA and 6-4 in the UFC.

After the victory, Brito removed his shorts and lay in the cage wearing only his compression shorts and jock, capping a memorable night at Meta APEX.

"The Black Beast" is scheduled to fight June 14 at UFC Freedom 250.
