Jan Blachowicz Rips Jamahal Hill’s Heavyweight Move After Recent Skid

Jan Blachowicz has taken aim at Jamahal Hill’s decision to move up to heavyweight, questioning the former champion’s conditioning after a rough run at light heavyweight.

Hill is heading to the UFC’s heaviest division following three straight losses, most recently a unanimous decision defeat to Khalil Rountree at UFC on ABC 8 last June in Abu Dhabi. Videos emerged a couple of weeks ago showing Hill visibly out of shape after knee surgery in the last quarter of 2025.

Blachowicz did not hold back when asked about Hill’s new plans. “Did you see how fat he is right now? So I'm not impressed,” he said. He added, “We're going to see how he's going to move. I've had a lot of injuries and surgeries, and I've never looked so bad like him. So, he just eat a lot of sh*t, I think.”

Blachowicz, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, is dealing with his own uncertainty. He was scheduled to rematch Bogdan Guskov at UFC Fight Night 283 on Aug. 1 in Serbia after they fought to a majority draw in December at UFC 323. However, Guskov was pulled to replace Rountree against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night 282 on July 25 in Abu Dhabi, leaving Blachowicz awaiting a new opponent.
