Jake Paul has made it clear he wants to run it back with Nate Diaz — but this time in MMA, and he says it’s near the top of his to-do list.
Speaking ahead of MVP MMA 1, which takes place May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., Paul laid out his intentions as he continues to talk about crossing over from boxing into mixed martial arts, something he has discussed regularly since starting his boxing career in 2020.
On that MVP MMA 1 card, Nate Diaz is scheduled to fight Mike Perry, and Paul is already eyeing the Stockton star for himself. “I want Nate in MMA,” Paul said. “It’s high on my list of priorities to do that.”
Paul previously defeated Diaz by unanimous decision in a boxing match in 2023 and believes an MMA clash becomes more realistic if Diaz gets past Perry. “I think it’s going to happen, though. If he beats Perry, then me vs. Nate is probably the No. 1 thing on the list. Above Tommy Fury, above Francis Ngannou, above KSI,” Paul said.
Paul is also entering MMA promotion with a Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card on Netflix and has previously worked with the PFL to promote some fights, further signaling his push into the MMA space.
