Illness Forces Mitch Raposo Out of Winnipeg Bout With Nascimento
16-04-26

Mitch Raposo has been forced to withdraw from his flyweight clash with Allan Nascimento at UFC Fight Night 273 in Winnipeg due to illness, postponing the matchup.

Raposo was scheduled to face Nascimento on Saturday at Canada Life Centre, but the bout has been canceled after he was removed from the event. Raposo stated he was pulled by UFC medical staff after excessive vomiting and flu-like symptoms during fight week.

The UFC is working to reschedule Raposo vs. Nascimento for UFC Fight Night 279 on June 20 at Meta APEX in Las Vegas. The Winnipeg event will move forward with 12 bouts.

Raposo holds a 10-3 MMA record and is 1-2 in the UFC, recently earning his first promotional win over Azat Maksum in October. Nascimento is 22-6 in MMA and 4-1 in the UFC, riding a four-fight winning streak following a loss to Jake Hadley in his promotional debut.
