Hailey Cowan says she is in good health after suffering a knockout loss to Alice Pereira at UFC Fight Night 272 on Saturday.
Cowan was stopped by Pereira in the second round of their women’s bantamweight bout at Meta APEX in Las Vegas. She was unconscious on impact and remained on the canvas for several minutes before leaving the cage.
A few hours after the fight, Cowan posted on social media that she is in good health, while also expressing disappointment with her performance.
The setback marks Cowan’s third consecutive defeat. She has not won since an August 2022 bout on Dana White's Contender Series and now holds a 7-5 MMA record and an 0-3 mark in the UFC. Pereira improves to 6-1 in MMA and 1-1 in the UFC.
Cowan’s current losing streak is the longest skid of her career, and her octagon career is described as in jeopardy.
