Former NFL linebacker Anthony Wint has signed to compete on Dana White's Contender Series on Aug. 11 in Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old heavyweight enters the UFC-adjacent showcase as the Fury FC heavyweight champion with a 6-0 professional MMA record. He has finished all but one fight since his debut in April 2023 and currently trains out of Kill Cliff FC.
Before turning his focus fully to MMA, Wint played four seasons of college football at Florida International University. He went undrafted and signed with the New York Jets in 2019 after a rookie minicamp performance.
Wint was promoted from the Jets practice squad to the main roster, played two games, registered a forced fumble, and was later waived. He then signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats before opting out when the CFL season was canceled due to COVID-19.
