The planned Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao rematch has hit uncertainty and will not take place on Sept. 19 at Sphere in Las Vegas.
The bout, which was announced in February, had been linked to the high-profile venue and date, but that slot is now off the table with The Eagles scheduled to play at Sphere in Las Vegas on Sept. 19.
Representatives for Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Netflix have not responded to inquiries about the status of the event, leaving the future of the rematch unclear.
The rematch announcement between Mayweather and Pacquiao came as a surprise to many, and public disagreement between the two camps followed, with Mayweather claiming the fight was not professional.
In the meantime, Mayweather is scheduled for an exhibition bout on June 27 against Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis, and he also has another exhibition vs. Mike Tyson on a date to be announced.
