Farid Basharat has a new dance partner for UFC 329, as the ranked bantamweight contender is now set to face John Garza in a prelim bout in Las Vegas.
Basharat was originally scheduled to meet Ethyn Ewing, who withdrew from the fight after suffering what was described as a "detrimental injury" in training. Garza steps in on the card to make his UFC promotional debut.
Basharat enters UFC 329 with a 15-0 record and six consecutive UFC wins since signing off the Contender Series in 2022. He is ranked No. 15 in the UFC bantamweight media rankings and most recently earned a split decision victory over Jean Matsumoto at UFC Vegas 113 in February.
Garza, 23, brings a 6-1 record into his debut and has been a professional fighter for two years. He rides a five-fight winning streak, including a second-round knockout over Josh Walker in January.
UFC 329 takes place in Las Vegas and is headlined by a welterweight fight between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.
