Ethyn Ewing has been forced out of his scheduled UFC 329 bout due to an undisclosed injury, pulling him from the July 11 card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
UFC officials are now seeking a replacement opponent for Basharat, who was slated to face Ewing at the event. Basharat enters the matchup with a 15-0 professional record and a 6-0 mark in the UFC.
Ewing, a former A1 Combat champion, had begun building momentum in the promotion. He made his UFC debut on short notice at UFC 322, scoring an upset win over Malcolm Wellmaker, then followed with a liver kick knockout of Rafael Estevam at UFC Vegas 115.
UFC 329 is headlined by a rematch between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway.
