Ethyn Ewing delivered a statement win at UFC Vegas 115 on Saturday, stopping previously undefeated Rafael Estevam by knockout in the third round.
The bantamweight clash ended at 1:44 of round three, with Ewing repeatedly hurting Estevam with striking combinations before finishing the fight with a body shot.
Speaking after the bout, Ewing said, "I’ve been waiting to say this all the way to this post-fight interview, you fight me your ‘O’ must go," before adding, "I’m going all the way to the top. The belt is what I’m searching for. There is nothing that’s going to stop me from getting to that point. I’m here because I want to be the best 135-pounder in mixed martial arts. You should all be watching out for me."
Ewing, who competes in the bantamweight division, is now 2-0 in the UFC after previously defeating Malcolm Wellmaker on short notice in his promotional debut. This time, he entered with a full training camp to prepare for Estevam.
