10-07-26

Eight men have been charged by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Ohio for allegedly plotting an attack on a UFC White House event and planning to kill President Donald Trump and other government officials.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the charges stem from an investigation launched after Tycen Proper and four others were arrested by the FBI during the weekend of the UFC event in Washington D.C. Three additional people, including 21-year-old Chandler Scaggs from Chapmanville, West Virginia, were later indicted in the same complaint.

The eight men charged are Abraham Alvarez from Nebraska, Daniel Eskridge from Missouri, William Falkner from Washington, Tycen Proper from Ohio, Jordan Rincker from Missouri, Brian Roa from California, Chandler Scaggs from West Virginia, and Michael Thomas from California. The alleged plot also referenced "other high value targets."

All eight are charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and conspiracy to commit murder on federal government territory and to murder a federal government official. Conspiring to provide material support to terrorists is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, while conspiracy to commit murder on federal government territory and to murder a federal government official is punishable by up to life in prison.

The new indictment replaces previous charges filed after the plot to attack the UFC White House event was thwarted by federal authorities.
