Drake Puts $1 Million on Conor McGregor in UFC 329 Rematch
10-07-26

Drake has laid down a massive $1 million bet on Conor McGregor to defeat Max Holloway in the UFC 329 main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The wager was placed at +285 odds on McGregor, meaning a victory would return $2,850,000. Holloway enters the rematch as the favorite, with UFC 329 marking McGregor's first fight since breaking his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

The size of the bet has again sparked references to the so-called "Drake Curse," a phrase that continues to follow the music star’s high-profile wagers.

Drake is known for placing large sports bets through his online gambling partner Stake and has a recent history of notable MMA and boxing losses. He previously lost $200,000 betting on Charles Oliveira to beat Ilia Topuria at UFC 317, and also dropped $200,000 on Jake Paul to defeat Anthony Joshua in a boxing match, where Joshua knocked Paul out in the sixth round.

McGregor won his first meeting with Holloway in August 2013, while Holloway comes into UFC 329 with recent wins over Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.
