Former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is looking to reset his bantamweight run when he faces Song Yadong in the main event of UFC Fight Night 277 this Saturday at Galaxy Macau in China.

Figueiredo enters the bout 4-3 since moving to 135 pounds and 1-3 in his past four fights, coming off a decision loss to Umar Nurmagomedov in a matchup where he also missed weight and has dealt with past injuries.

"Definitely a lot of things change in my life, not only in my mind," Figueiredo said ahead of Saturday’s headliner. "I just need to do everything correctly. I'm a guy who used to step over the line and outside the line, and I just need to stay within the lines and do everything correctly and, like I said, make my way back to the title."

The Brazilian, who holds a 25-6-1 professional record and is 14-6-1 in the UFC, has made clear he still aims to become a double UFC champion and has adjusted his preparation accordingly. "It's a new beginning right now," he said. "I need to do everything correctly right now and get back in the win column and keep making my way towards the belt."

Figueiredo added, "For sure I feel 100 percent. My head is in the right place. I feel good, and everything is perfect actually. I'm going to be able to show my best version on Saturday."

Song Yadong enters the main event with a 22-9-1 MMA record and an 11-4-1 mark in the UFC.
