Dana White has pushed back on Sean Strickland’s claim that he’s been banned from attending the upcoming UFC White House card.
Strickland had taken to social media to say he was being kept out of the event because of his criticism of Donald Trump, writing, "The only male American champ banned at the White House because I said Trump is owned by [Benjaimin Netanyahu]," and adding, "That’s not public opinion, it’s fact."
White dismissed the idea that Strickland, or anyone else, is barred from the card. "Everybody’s banned apparently. Apparently f*cking everybody is banned," White said, before clarifying, "Of course, Sean Strickland isn’t [banned]. Sean Strickland is banned from humanity. We don’t want him near any human beings anywhere. F*cking shows up at Power Slap, he starts fights."
According to White, Strickland’s absence would be by choice, not prohibition. "He made it very clear he didn’t want to be a part of this event and now apparently he’s banned. Nobody is banned. Nobody’s music is banned. No media members have been banned. The list goes on and on."
White instead pointed to space and demand issues around what he called a "very unique" event at the White House. "This is obviously a very unique event where first of all, there’s only so much room," he said, noting, "There’s only 4,300 tickets to actually seat. Literally, nobody has been banned from this event."
