Dakota Ditcheva Calls Out Ronda Rousey Over Khamzat Chimaev Remark
15-05-26

Dakota Ditcheva has publicly denounced Ronda Rousey after a pre-fight press conference comment about Khamzat Chimaev’s cleft palate.

Rousey, who is set to return to MMA to fight Gina Carano at “Rousey vs. Carano” at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., made the remark on Thursday ahead of their bout, which will be shown on Netflix.

The fallout reached social media, where Ditcheva posted: "@RondaRousey's comment towards Chimaev regarding his cleft palate was absolutely disgraceful. I am no longer a fan. As a mother, you should know better. The amount of young children navigating difficulties like that while you sit on a worldwide stage mocking it. Do better."

Ditcheva is an undefeated PFL contender with a 15-0 record, though she previously withdrew from a February PFL fight due to injury and currently has no fight scheduled. Rousey enters the Carano matchup as a UFC Hall of Famer with a 12-2 record, while Carano is 7-1 and has not fought since 2007.
