The California State Athletic Commission has handed out a slate of medical suspensions following the first MVP MMA card in Inglewood, Calif., headlined by the "Rousey vs. Carano" event this past Saturday night.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos received one of the heaviest penalties after being knocked out by Robelis Despaigne. Dos Santos was given an indefinite suspension pending neurological clearance, along with a 45-day suspension that includes 30 days with no contact.

The cuts ended his fight in the second round when his corner would not allow him to continue.

Mike Perry, Philipe Lins, Kenneth Cross, Phumi Nkuta, Albert Morales, and others were given 45-day suspensions with 30 days no contact. Jake Babian drew a 60-day suspension, or until cleared by a physician, for a laceration to the left side of his head plus 45 days with no contact, while Jefferson Creighton was suspended 180 days, or until cleared by an orthopedist for left knee pain, in addition to 45 days with no contact.
