Conor McGregor Suffers Early Leg Injury in UFC 329 Rematch Loss
12-07-26

Conor McGregor’s long-awaited rematch with Max Holloway at UFC 329 ended abruptly when the former champion suffered an early leg injury less than a minute into the fight.

The bout took place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, under the UFC banner. McGregor and Holloway barely had time to get going before the contest unraveled in stunning fashion.

McGregor slipped twice in the opening exchanges, falling to his back as Holloway capitalized by taking top position and landing punches. After getting back to his feet, McGregor fell again and appeared unable to walk, forcing a quick conclusion to the main event.

Video replay showed McGregor injured himself on the very first strike he threw, a leaping left roundhouse kick, and the fight lasted about a minute before being waved off.
