Conor McGregor Steps Back Into Action In Crumlin Exhibition Bout
04-04-26

Conor McGregor returned to competition in his hometown, taking part in an exhibition boxing match at the Crumlin Boxing Club’s Good Friday event in Crumlin, Dublin, Ireland.

The former UFC two-division champion went three rounds in the exhibition against another boxer. During one of the rounds, McGregor scored a pair of standing eight counts.

Known to fans as "The Notorious", McGregor had been out of MMA action for nearly five years following back-to-back stoppage losses to Dustin Poirier in 2021. His most recent MMA appearance came at UFC 264 in July 2021, where he suffered a leg injury in a first-round TKO defeat to Poirier.

McGregor became the UFC’s first simultaneous two-division champion in 2016 and has since competed four times in MMA, losing three of those bouts. He also boxed Floyd Mayweather in August 2017 and has shared the cage in notable UFC bouts with names such as Nate Diaz.
