Conor McGregor Signs Historic Deal, Faces Max Holloway at UFC 329

Conor McGregor is set for a blockbuster comeback, signing a record-setting new deal to face Max Holloway in a rematch headlining UFC 329 on Sat., July 11, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The event marks McGregor’s return to competition and comes in the UFC’s new Paramount+ era, with the platform serving as the promotion’s exclusive home and no traditional pay-per-views.

UFC CEO Dana White said the promotion built McGregor’s contract around his past drawing power. “There’s a formula to it, McGregor’s going to do just fine,” White said. “Based on, if you take the average of his pay-per-view buys and what they do, there’s an equation for that ... I mean we’ve done it with a lot more guys than just McGregor.”

McGregor’s longtime manager Audie Attar described the agreement as the biggest in company history. “Look, we’ve been negotiating with the UFC for over 15 years now, so it hasn’t always been an easy path, but we’ve always done good business,” Attar said, adding, “It definitely was challenging in terms of, ‘How do we do this in this new era without PPV?’”

Attar called the final number “multiples over anybody in the UFC, including Zuffa Boxing — multiples. It’s a historical number. At the end of the day, we’re not here to talk about the specifics, nor will I. The UFC definitely moved way more than they ever have, and probably wanted to. ... It’s a win-win.”

McGregor, a former UFC two-division champion, now heads into “McGregor vs. Holloway 2” under what Attar labeled a “historical number” deal.
