Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt will meet Adrian Yanez in a bantamweight showdown at UFC 329.
The matchup is set for July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, adding another notable 135-pound bout to the UFC 329 lineup.
Garbrandt is coming off a unanimous decision win over Xiao Long at UFC 326 in March. Before that, he dropped a decision to Raoni Barcelos at UFC Atlanta in June and was submitted by Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 300 in April 2024. Since winning the bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz at UFC 207 in December 2016, Garbrandt is 4-7 in the UFC.
Yanez enters UFC 329 with a history of fast success in the promotion. He won his first five UFC bouts after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, picking up bonuses in all five. However, he has just one victory in his past five outings, including a controversial majority draw in his most recent fight against Ricky Simon at UFC Seattle.
Garbrandt’s championship pedigree and Yanez’s bonus-heavy start in the UFC set the stage for a pivotal clash for both bantamweights in Las Vegas.
