Chris Weidman is headed to the UFC Hall of Fame, with his induction into the Modern Wing announced during the UFC 328 broadcast in New Jersey.

Weidman will be honored as part of the 2026 UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, scheduled for July 9 in Las Vegas. The former middleweight champion retired from the UFC after being stopped by Erky Anders at UFC 310 in late 2024.

“Chris Weidman is one of the greatest middleweights in UFC history,” UFC CEO Dana White said. “Chris consistently competed against the best athletes in the world during his career, and his victories over Anderson Silva changed the landscape of the middleweight division forever. It will be an honor to induct him into the UFC Hall of Fame this summer.”

Weidman captured the UFC middleweight title from Anderson Silva in summer 2013 and went on to defend the belt three times, turning back Anderson Silva in a rematch, Lyoto Machida, and Vitor Belfort. Ray Longo had previously stated that Weidman was worthy of a Hall of Fame spot.

Weidman retires with a professional record of 16 wins and 8 losses. After his run of title defenses, he went 3–8, with seven of those losses coming by knockout or technical knockout.
