Carlos Prates made a major move in the welterweight rankings after defeating Jack Della Maddalena in the UFC Fight Night 275 main event at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Prates’ win pushed him from No. 6 to No. 4 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie welterweight rankings, while Della Maddalena dropped from No. 2 down to No. 5.
In the co-main event, Quillan Salkilld defeated Beneil Dariush and broke into the lightweight rankings at No. 14, taking over Dariush’s former position. Despite the loss and a 1-4 run, Dariush remains in the lightweight top 15 at No. 15.
The shake-up came in a busy stretch for the sport, with PFL also hosting an event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, contributing to divisional rankings movement across multiple weight classes.
