Cain Velasquez Joins Netflix Broadcast Team for Rousey vs. Carano

Cain Velasquez is set to return to the MMA spotlight as an expert commentator for the Netflix broadcast of "Rousey vs. Carano" on Sat. (May 16) at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

The former UFC heavyweight titleholder will provide expert commentary and analysis for the event, joining a packed on-air team that includes Jon Jones and Tyron Woodley, who will also appear on the broadcast.

MVP has released the full list of on-air talent for "Rousey vs. Carano." Kenny Florian will serve as color commentator, while Cat Zingano will also provide expert commentary and analysis. Elle Duncan is listed as Netflix lead anchor and Ariel Helwani as main desk host for the event.

Fight week will feature several public events. Open workouts are scheduled for Wed., May 13 at 6 p.m. PT at the Venice Beach Basketball Courts. A press conference will follow on Thurs., May 14 at 6 p.m. PT at the Intuit Dome Outdoor Plaza, with weigh-ins set for Fri., May 15 at 6 p.m. PT at the same location. All fight week events are free and open to the public.

Cain Velasquez’s last MMA fight was a technical knockout loss to Francis Ngannou in early 2019. Ngannou, known as "The Predator," is scheduled to compete on May 16 against a UFC veteran.
