07-06-26

Bryce Mitchell closed the show in dramatic fashion on Saturday, submitting Santiago Luna in the final seconds at UFC Vegas 118.

Mitchell locked up an arm-triangle choke and forced the tap with just eight seconds remaining in the third round, securing a late bantamweight victory inside the octagon.

Luna stepped in on nine days' notice after Victor Henry withdrew due to a knee injury. The 21-year-old Mexican prospect entered the bout undefeated in nine professional fights but now falls to 8-1.

Mitchell, who previously competed at featherweight before moving to bantamweight, improves to 2-0 in the division. His UFC record moves to 10-3, and his overall professional mark climbs to 19-3.
