Bryce Mitchell has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 278, as he’s now set to face undefeated prospect Santiago Luna on the main card at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Mitchell, 18-3 in MMA and 9-3 in the UFC, steps into an impromptu bantamweight matchup after originally being scheduled to fight Victor Henry. He returns to the same venue where he holds a 3-0 record and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Said Nurmagomedov last July.
Luna enters the bout with a perfect 8-0 MMA record and a 2-0 mark in the UFC. He won his first two outings in the promotion against Quang Le and Angel Pacheco and is described as a highly regarded prospect on the UFC scene.
Betting odds from FanDuel currently list Mitchell as a slight favorite at -126, with Luna at +108. Mitchell and Luna are expected to make their walks to the cage at approximately 8:40 p.m. ET, with the fight streaming live on Paramount+.
